Congratulations to all who attented the grading on the 4th of December! This was our last grading of the year and over 100 students were graded by Master Peros at his new Taekwondo academy in Cardiff. Well done for the excellent results and keep up the hard work!    

  A massive well done to every student who took part in the 2nd Inner Spirit Goodwill Tournament on the 1st of December 2013 in Cardiff! The competition was again a huge success with more than 150 competitors from all the Inner Spirit Taekwondo schools around Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Everybody had a chance to show their skills and test themselves in a safe environment and the level of competition is improving every year. The Cowbridge Competition Team showed a lot of skills, competed and fought really hard, some of the students in their first competition ever. All the new comers to the competiton circuit showed a lot of courage, represented their Taekwondo school very well and did me proud! Everybody improved their game, showed great attitude and I know that all of the young competitors will get a lot of experience for future tournaments. The T.A.G.B. British Championships 2013 will be on the 24th of November and will take place at UWIC, Cardiff. Address: University of Wales Institute Cardiff, Cyncoed Road, CF23 6XD Cardiff. Mr Schembri and I have just come back from a fantastic training camp in Thailand! We trained twice a day for over 10 days with sessions in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu every morning and Muay Thai in the afternoon. It was very hard at times to do 2 long sessions a day and the heat made it even more difficult but I have realised a dream to finally train with some amazing Thai Coaches and Instructors and some amazing grapplers from all over the World. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sessions took place at Tiger Muay Thai & MMA training Camp under Brazilian Instructor Fernando Maccachero who is a 4th degree Black Belt in BJJ and Coach of the Brazilian Top Team Phuket. It was a fantastic experience and honor to train under Professor Fernando and I learnt a lot in a short amount of time! Congratulations to all the competitors who took part in the 2013 TI World Championships on the weekend! The competition was a huge success and the atmosphere was amazing. Massive congratulations to Joseph Schembri who won his 4th World Title!!! A truly inspirational performance from a great friend and legend of Taekwondo! What an amazing achievement!!! Well done also to Matthew Jackson on his first World Title in a very tough lightweight division! The Welsh Teams also had huge success with the ladies getting Bronze and the men getting Silver after an epic battle against England in the final! This was by far one of the best organised tournament I have had the chance to see in years and the level of competition was unbelievable. Well done again to all countries involved, all competitors, referees and organisers and bring on the next one!

Well done to all the students who took part in the Welsh Open Championships on Sunday 19th of May. The competition was again a huge success, with competitors coming from all over the UK to take part in one of the best National tournaments of the year. Congratulations to all the boys from Cowbridge, some of them competing for the first time! A special mention to Ben Sutton who took Bronze in a packed division, only losing in the semi-finals. Liam Sloan also took Bronze in his first competition as a cadet in a very tough Black Belt division! Well done to all who competed, fought brilliantly and represented the Cowbridge club very well. On Saturday the 30th of March 2013 my good friend Master Jaeyong Jeon from Australia is coming to Cardiff for a Korean kicking master class! I have had the chance to compete against Master Jae and train with him on multiple occasion. Master Jae is an amazing martial artist, former Korean Taekwondo Champion and undefeated full contact Kickboxing Champion!
